Otava’s digital learning materials are protected by the Copyright Act (404/1961). The use and printing of the materials is permitted in classroom teaching situations and in the preparation of lessons. Modification, retransmission or reproduction of the materials for commercial purposes, in whole or in part, is prohibited.
The digital licence of Kopiosto does not apply to online materials licensed by the right holder. The use of Otava’s digital learning materials requires a licence from the right holder. For more information on licenses and their contents, please contact Kopiosto ry (Kopiosto.fi).
School- and teacher-specific licence products are online products purchased by the school for a certain period of time depending on the product. The teacher accesses the product through Teacher’s World with their personal user ID, which may not be handed over to other teachers or pupils or outside the school. The products are intended to be used under the direction of the teacher. Logging out of the material and Teacher’s World and locking the computer is recommended between lessons and in situations where the computer is left unsupervised. School- and teacher-specific licence products include Otava’s digital teaching materials and digital exams.
Pupil- and student-specific licence products
Pupil- and student-specific licence products are online products purchased by the school (comprehensive school products) or the student (general upper secondary school, adult education and vocational education products) for a certain period of time depending on the product. Each product has a pupil- or student-specific license. The pupil accesses the product through Pupil’s World and the student through Student’s World with their personal user ID, which may not be handed over to others. Pupil- and student-specific licence products include Otava’s digital books and digital exercises.
